Well I originally was not going to run club xc because I had been schedule to work and there is a shortage of staff at TRH that we now don't have very many people who can cover shifts and I got a call from our team captain that one of our runners was inelgible to run. so I was the next in line and I showed up race day with 80 miles on these tired legs and no speed. managed to improve my time from the previous week however by going out 20 seconds slower right at 5:10 pace and then picking off a ton of people as I improved my overall time by 25 seconds...Potass can vouch for me (after our wake forest drills) if I had not continued my marathon training and instead stayed a little tapered maybe ran faster than I did... So I say that was a damn good race for me and our team had a good showing. If our other guy would have ran there is a chance we could have done better as a team, but thats why cross is so un predictable! In either case I was back on the horse sunday to Log 20 miles in the books. keep it going boyz...oh yeah Ben your boy ran really well for Team XO!
